Dear IMIYC;

Category : :), Izmir, daily doings, istanbul

If you had told me a year ago that I’d be blogging about politics I would’ve never believed you. Really. I used to enjoy life before all these elections and whatnots. D from GlobalVoices (bless her) has been an absolute darling and linked to some of my posts regarding the current political situation in Turkey and while I was reviewing those posts, I couldn’t believe how boring I had become.

SUMMER IS HERE!

I’m planning on hitting the closest beach as soon as possible, lay out in the sun and forget all about the bickering gits that are trying to rule this little bit of heaven on earth. The weather is slowly becoming very warm. The sun hasn’t completely shown it’s head yet, we’re getting grey clouds and hot weather. When I get up in the morning I find myself in the shower faster than in winter. I hate the sticky feeling sweat that comes with Istanbulian summers. Istanbulian..remember that word. More on that later. Back to the weather; the cafes are serving breakfast on their terrasses and people are enjoying themselves. It’s still a bit chilly at night but it’s worth the wait. I love Istanbul when everyone decides that it’s too warm to stay here and they desert the city, leaving it to those who love it to bits even if it’s too warm and sticky. This city is so fun at this time of the year.

I’m looking for work. Who isn’t? It’s tough to find good jobs in this country but I still want to believe that I can find something suitable for me. An activity that I will enjoy waking up for in the morning. I’m sick of having to drag myself to my current job as if I was going to the rope.

I will be heading to Izmir Saturday night for a three day trip. I’m hopefully coming back with a little puppy. One of our dogs has given birth to four of them.

I’m chipper, I just want to write and write and write but since it would mostly consist of nonsense I will spare you the pain. Even when all seems to be going wrong, there are some things that seem to be going just fine for me.

P.S.: ebediyen.
