While I would like to welcome to Ramadan, I would also like to explain how my sister and I welcomed it.
This morning she woke me up at 4.45am to have breakfast before the prayer. I wake up, half asleep obviously and proceed to prepare breakfast. I set everything up on the table and sat down with her.
You need to keep in mind that I am really not used to getting up so early, let alone eat something at that time of the day.
I can’t remember what happened but whilst listening to some program on TV (i think it was malcolm in the middle and the mother was giving birth.) i cracked up and started laughing so badly that I was crying. I’d like to think it was because I was having a nervous breakdown due to the fact that it was so early. I laughed and laughed and kept laughing and she was trying to stuff my face with food and it just wouldn’t work, I nearly choaked. She kept counting down till the prayer and that made me laugh even more.
This morning was insane, what a way to start fasting.

Happy Ramadan Mubarak.
